迷路館の殺人 綾辻行人 感想

Murder at the Maze Mansion
by Ayatsuji Yukito

A story within a story!

Contains spoilers below!

The intricacy of the story within the story is impressive! The afterword and colophon were also well done! It’s fascinating!

So, Mr. Samejima was the real culprit! Did anyone consider the possibility of Mr. Miyagaki being alive in the story within the story? I thought my guess was right, but it turned out to be completely off! Oh no, that’s a twist! But unexpected plot twists are always good!

Secret passages! Come to think of it, weren’t there secret passages in the Decagon Mansion too? I wonder if secret passages are a common theme in the Mansion series?

Oh, so there’s a Waterwheel Mansion between the Decagon Mansion and the Maze Mansion? And Mr. Shimada plays a role there too. Hmm, I might give that one a read too!

When they mentioned “people involved,” I thought Kagatani Kadoomi might have been someone who was at the Maze Mansion back then, but it turns out he’s Mr. Shimada’s older brother? Since the pen names weren’t revealed in the story, and all the authors died, I was curious about Kagatani’s true identity, but this was an unexpected development! Having two sets of suspects – the culprit and the author – doubles the fun!
