Episode 6: “Court Cuisine / Boiled in Salt”
I’m enjoying it every time!
Below are my impressions including spoilers!
Could living paintings attack?
Do they draw you in and kill you in that world?
Hmm, according to the idle talk in the original, it’s “magic that shows illusions through paintings.” Since you can’t originally come out, if you go in, there’s no way out but to die?
In that sense, even paintings that don’t attack might be dangerous…
Oh, the scarf!
Wasn’t that something you got from your daughter…?
It’s quite tattered…
But wait, Marser is repairing it with you!
I didn’t notice that at all in the original!
Marser is really eager, haha.
Despite saying no, he’s eating it perfectly!
Can’t beat hunger, huh?
Are there stories in the manga that aren’t in the anime?
The original has a total of 94 episodes.
Since one anime episode covers about two manga chapters, 94 / 2 = 47
About a year’s worth?
According to the official website, it says it’s two consecutive cours?
One cour seems to be about 12-13 episodes, so 24-26 episodes?
It feels overwhelmingly insufficient…
There might be quite a few parts being skipped.
Or maybe they’ll do a second season-like thing halfway through?
If they’re going to follow the original properly, will these two cours cover up to about volume 7 of the original?
Looking back now, it was up to the Hippogriff part!
It seems like it might end around the part where they step on the Changeling and time becomes an issue!
